Monica Gonzalez's Research Focus

My research focuses on discovering caspase substrates critical in the cell survival function of caspase-8. To do this we will deploy genome editing to alter endogenous caspase targets, coupled with the use of the highly selective protease tobacco etch virus (TEV) protease, to define the role of candidate target proteins in regulating T cell activation.
