Marco Maruggi's Research Focus

My work revolves around understanding the impact of hypoxia on the DNA repair process, specifically in the context of resistance to targeted therapy to cancer. The focus of my research is to understand the underlying causes of tumors’ development of resistance, and the role that environmentally-mediated genomic instability plays in this process.
