Jinsha Liu's Research Focus

Jinsha is interested in Cadherin-13 (CDH13, also known as T-cadherin) in brain function. Cadherin-13 is a unique glycosylphoshatidylinositol (GPI)-linked cadherin, which was originally discovered in Dr. Ranscht’s lab in avian brain and named T-cadherin with “T” standing for “truncated”. Preliminary data show that CDH13 plays an important role in associative learning and memory processes. Jinsha aims to investigate the role of CDH13 and explore possible mechanisms in neuronal networks.
