Agata Xella's Research Focus

My research focuses on the signals that control cell growth and differentiation in the nervous system, and how these signals are dysregulated in brain tumors. Specifically, my project will use animal models to study the role of stem cell signaling pathways in development of the cerebellum, and in the growth of the childhood brain tumor medulloblastoma.
