The Metabolic Origins of Disease symposium will showcase groundbreaking research into the metabolic basis of a broad spectrum of diseases by 24 internationally renowned scientists. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with thought leaders who are spearheading efforts to expand our understanding of metabolism. A key focus will be on leveraging newfound insights to develop novel therapeutics and diagnostics targeting a range of diseases for which altered metabolism is an integral feature.

Additional program highlights
  • The deadline for the submission of abstracts is January 22, 2014. You must be registered for the symposium to submit an abstract.
  • There will be a half-day workshop focusing on state-of-the-art approaches to human metabolic phenotyping. The workshop will be held at the nearby Florida Hospital – Sanford-Burnham Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes. THE WORKSHOP IS SOLD OUT.
